(SAN DIEGO) After setting a program record for most All-Region selections, PLNU Volleyball has now set a new program best mark for most All-Americans in a single season.
Abigail Nua (First Team),
Anna Massari (Honorable Mention) and
Sophia Baugh (Honorable Mention) earned AVCA All-American honors, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday.
Nua becomes the first Sea Lion to be selected to the AVCA All-American First Team, as she receives All-American recognition for the third straight season.
Massari earns All-American honors for the second consecutive year, while Baugh receives her first All-American nod.
Nua adds to her lengthy list of awards this season after previously being named PacWest Player of the Year and to the AVCA and D2CCA All-West Region Teams.
Massari was also selected to both the AVCA and D2CCA All-West Region Teams, while Baugh also earned AVCA All-West Region honors.
All three were voted to the All-PacWest First Team.
Point Loma finished the season with a program-best 26-2 (.929) overall record after picking up its first NCAA postseason victory in program history.
