Tavia Rowell repeated as PacWest Player of the Week after setting a new season-high in points and leading PLNU Women's Basketball to the third seed in the PacWest Tournament.
Â
Â
Rowell scored a Sea Lions career-high 26 points on Thursday at Dominican, eclipsing the 25 she scored the week prior against Westmont.
Â
Her 26 points came on 10-for-16 shooting, including 4-for-5 from 3-point range.
Â
Then on Saturday at Academy of Art, she pitched in with a game-high 19 to ensure Point Loma finished third in the PacWest standings.
Â
PLNU's third-place finish in the conference is its best since 2016-17.
Â
Point Loma (17-11 overall, 13-7 PacWest) will take on sixth-seeded Biola on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the First Round of the PacWest Tournament, hosted in Golden Gym.
Â
BU won both previous matchups with PLNU this season.
Â
The two teams also met in last year's PacWest First Round, with the Sea Lions prevailing in an epic overtime battle, 67-61.
