Point Loma will enter this week's conference tournament as the top seed after a stellar regular season saw the Sea Lions lose only one match to an NCAA Division II opponent.

After being picked third in the PacWest Preseason Poll, Point Loma defeated conference preseason favorites Azusa Pacific in its season opener before also taking down Hawai'i Pacific, whom it has lost to in back-to-back NCAA West Regionals.

PLNU rallied off a program record 13-straight wins earlier this season before finishing the regular season with a 15-3 overall record.

Point Loma receives a first-round bye in the PacWest Championships and advances straight to Thursday's quarterfinals, where it will face off against eighth-seeded Dominican, who beat ninth-seeded MSU Denver 4-0 in Wednesday's first round.

The Sea Lions have yet to play the Penguins this season.

Meanwhile, Point Loma Men's Tennis (11-7 overall) is seeded fourth and will take on fifth-seeded Concordia in Thursday's quarterfinals at 9 a.m.

PLNU is 2-0 against CUI this season, winning 6-1 and 5-2.

Both Sea Lions teams enter the postseason after beating Westmont on Senior Day.

The Point Loma men and women both finished third at last year's PacWest Championships, their best-ever finishes at the conference tournament.
The PacWest Championships will be held in Suprise, Arizona at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.
