On Monday, the Sea Lions were announced as the No. 2 seed, their highest-ever ranking entering the postseason.
 
Point Loma will take on third-seeded Azusa Pacific in the regional on Saturday at the PLNU Tennis Courts. Doubles play is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The two teams battled in a thrilling match on Feb. 10 in the Sea Lions' season opener, which PLNU won 4-3.
 
Point Loma, making a third-straight NCAA West Regional appearance, is 17-4 overall on the season, having gone on a program record 13-match winning streak earlier in the year.
 
APU is 20-2 and had won 19-consecutive matches after its loss to PLNU before falling in the PacWest championship to Academy of Art.
 
PLNU lost to ART U in the conference semifinals before defeating Concordia in the Third Place Match to tie its best-ever finish at the PacWest Championships.

The winner between Point Loma and Azusa Pacific will advance to the NCAA Championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
