Arianna Audelo and
Quin Brady won the ITA West Regional doubles championship on Saturday, completing a perfect 5-0 run through the tournament as the sixth seed.
In the quarterfinals, Audelo and Brady took down the third seed, Emilie Lugon and Bryn Johnson of Concordia, by an 8-1 margin.
The Point Loma duo then posted an 8-5 victory in the semifinal against seventh-seeded Amelija Supulniece and Evi Roobol from Academy of Art.
Then in the championship, the sixth-seeded Sea Lions dominated the tournament's top seed, Julia Jordan and Vini Margaret Bautista of Azusa Pacific, 8-1.
With the victory, Audelo and Brady become the first Point Loma pairing to win the regional doubles title and automatically qualify for the national ITA Cup Oct. 10-13 in Rome, Georgia.
In singles, four Sea Lions reached the Round of 16 but sixth-seeded
Anna Pallencaoe was the only one to advance to the quarterfinals at the Rome Tennis Center.
The PLNU sophomore did so with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 Round of 16 victory over Julia Jordan of Azusa Pacific before falling to third-seeded Audrey Rafols of Dominican (3-6, 4-6) in the final eight.
