(ROME, Ga.) After becoming the first PLNU Women's Tennis player to win the ITA Division II West Regional singles championship, Alina Kupfer represented Point Loma at the ITA Cup over the weekend.
 
Kupfer competed as one of 16 singles players in all of NCAA Division II, going 1-2 across her three matches.
 
Her victory came against the No. 4 seed in the tournament, Renske Ubachs of Washburn. She won a first-set tiebreak 8-6 on her way to a 7-6, 6-4 triumph.
 
This year's ITA Cup marks the second straight year that PLNU has been represented at the national tournament, with Arianna Audelo and Quin Brady competing in doubles at last year's edition.
 
Point Loma is scheduled to open its spring 2026 regular season on Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. against Occidental.
