(SAN DIEGO)
David Fisinger was named the PacWest Co-Player of the Week on Monday after his clinching performance for PLNU Men's Tennis on Friday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division III.
Â
Fisinger teamed up with
Andrew Suver at No. 2 doubles, winning 7-5 to clinch the doubles point for the Sea Lions.
Â
That doubles point proved crucial, as Point Loma won as team by one, with Fisinger's 7-6, 6-4 singles victory at No. 5 ultimately the difference.
Â
Â
Fisinger, the ITA West Regional doubles runner-up in the fall, is a perfect 4-0 this season in both singles and doubles.
Â
Point Loma (3-1 overall) returns to the PLNU Tennis Courts on Wednesday at 3 p.m. to host Concordia.
