(SAN DIEGO) The Point Loma Men's and Women's Soccer seasons are just around the corner, with the 2025 schedules for both Sea Lions squads being announced.
MEN'S SOCCER
Of the team's seven non-conference matches, five will be played at the PLNU Soccer Field.
Point Loma will begin its season against Cal State San Bernardino for the third straight season. Their season opener is set for Sep. 4 at 4:30 p.m. on the PLNU Soccer Field.
The Sea Lions will then hit the road for the first time two days later, traveling to play at Cal Poly Pomona on Sep. 6.
PLNU will then play three straight games on The Point against Colorado School of Mines (Sep. 11), Regis (Sep. 13) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (Sep. 18).
The team's final two non-conference games will be played against PacWest opponents, at Azusa Pacific (Sep. 24) and versus Westmont (Sep. 27).
WOMEN'S SOCCER
For the first time since 2008, PLNU Women's Soccer will begin a season out of state.
Point Loma will travel to the Pacific Northwest for a single game against Seattle Pacific on Sep. 4 before returning to San Diego for its home opener two days later on Sep. 6 against Cal State San Marcos at 1 p.m.
The Sea Lions will then take on Cal State LA on the road on Sep. 10 before playing its final three non-conference matches at home, including against defending national champions Cal Poly Pomona on Sep. 13 in a rematch of last year's regional championship game that went to overtime.
Point Loma will close out its non-conference schedule against Metro State (Sep. 18) and Fort Lewis (Sep. 20).
PACWEST CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Both PLNU soccer teams will be seeking a third straight PacWest championship this season, with a 10-game conference schedule slated for both.
They will begin their PacWest title defense on Oct. 2 at home against Menlo, followed by nine days off before their first conference road game at Concordia on Oct. 11.
That is part of a stretch with four out of five games being played on the road, before three of their final four regular season matches will take place on the PLNU Soccer Field.
Point Loma's PacWest schedule will conclude with two straight home games against Jessup (Nov. 6) and versus Fresno Pacific (Nov. 8).
The four-team PacWest Championships are set for Nov. 13-15, with the women's tournament being hosted at PLNU and the men's rendition being played in Santa Barbara at Westmont.
The NCAA postseason will begin Nov. 20-23 with the first and second rounds.
The third round is slated for Nov. 30, with the national quarterfinals to follow on Dec. 6.
The NCAA Championships will take place Dec. 12-14 at a location to be determined.
