(SAN DIEGO) The PacWest basketball champions will be returning to Golden Gym in just over four months.
The 2025-26 schedule has been released for both PLNU Women's and Men's Basketball, with both teams looking to defend their conference titles from a season ago.
The PLNU women won their first ever PacWest regular season and tournament championships last season, while the men claimed their fourth straight conference regular season crown and also won the PacWest Tournament for the second time in three seasons.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Point Loma will open its season at the PacWest/CCAA Conference Challenge in San Marcos against Cal Poly Pomona (Nov. 14) and Cal State San Marcos (Nov. 15).
The Sea Lions will then play their home opener on Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. against the defending national runners-up Cal State Dominguez Hills.
That matchup is followed by a trip to Lacey, Washington to play at Saint Martin's (Nov. 22), before Point Loma returns home to host the PLNU Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 28-29 against Western Oregon and Northwest Nazarene.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The PLNU men will begin their season in Costa Mesa against the defending national runners-up Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 14 in a rematch of a thrilling Sweet 16 matchup from last year.
That is part of a challenging non-conference schedule for the Sea Lions, with four of their first five games of the season against teams who played in the NCAA West Regional that Point Loma hosted in March.
PLNU will conclude the PacWest/CCAA Conference Challenge against Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 15, before playing in Golden Gym for the first time on Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. against Cal State San Marcos.
The Sea Lions will finish up their non-conference slate at the SPU Classic against Central Washington (Nov. 28) and Seattle Pacific (Nov. 29).
PACWEST CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Point Loma's PacWest title defense will begin on the road for three straight games, beginning on Dec. 4 at Jessup.
That is part of an opening stretch that includes six of its first seven conference games being played away from Golden Gym. PLNU's only home PacWest game before the calendar turns will be on Dec. 13 against Dominican.
The Sea Lions will then ring in 2026 on New Year's Day at Dominican, with its first home game of the new year taking place on Jan. 8 against Jessup.
After a road game at Concordia (Jan. 10), Point Loma will play five of six at home from Jan. 13-Feb. 5, followed by a three-game trip to Hawai'i Feb. 10-14.
PLNU will then close out the regular season with four consecutive home games, including against Concordia (Feb. 21) during Homecoming Weekend and versus Westmont on Feb. 28 on Senior Day.
