PLNU Men's Soccer has won each of the last two PacWest championships.

MEN'S SOCCER PICKED TO THREE-PEAT IN THE PACWEST

(SAN DIEGO) After winning back-to-back PacWest Conference championships, PLNU Men's Soccer is expected to make it a three-peat in 2025.
 
Point Loma was picked first in the PacWest Preseason Poll, announced on Tuesday.
 
PLNU received 10 of a possible 13 first place votes, while leading the pack with 164 points. Hawai'i Hilo, Westmont and Fresno Pacific received the other three first place votes, with Hilo and Westmont tied for second in the preseason poll with 140 points.
   
The Sea Lions have dominated the PacWest the past two seasons, going a combined 17-2-2 in 2023 and 2024 to win the program's first two conference titles.
 
PLNU has also made consecutive NCAA Super Region 4 appearances for the first time as a program.
 
The team returns 16 players, including PacWest Player of the Year Elijah Langford and PacWest Defender of the Year Ryan Doyle. All-PacWest performers Simon Sagal, Zack Mercieca, Emmett Layman and Jeremy Caringella also return.
 
The squad welcomes 12 newcomers, nine of whom are transfers.
   
Point Loma opens its 2025 season on Sep. 4 with a home game against Cal State San Bernardino at 4:30 p.m.
