(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Baseball starter Vaughn Neckar was named the PacWest Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after his masterful outing at Hawai'i Hilo over the weekend.
 
Neckar hurled his second complete game, one-hit shutout of the year in game two of the series.

The freshman righthander struck out six in his seven innings of his work, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning and not allowing a runner past second base in the game.
 
Neckar leads the PacWest this season with a 3.27 ERA and a .198 batting average against. He also ranks second in the conference with 52.1 innings pitched.

Point Loma (32-7 overall, 28-4 PacWest) was also selected as the PacWest Team of the Week after its four-game sweep of Hawai'i Hilo, its sixth sweep in eight conference series this season.

PLNU returns to Carroll B. Land Stadium April 17-18 for a four-game set against Westmont.
