Tristan Moore was a unanimous NCBWA First Team All-West Region selection.

PLNU QUARTET EARNS NCBWA, D2CCA ALL-WEST REGION HONORS

(SAN DIEGO) On the eve of PLNU Baseball hosting the Super Regionals, a quartet of Point Loma players earned All-West Region honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).
 
Tristan Moore, Derek Silva, Devin Norton and Josiah Rodriguez represent the Sea Lions on the All-West Region Team from both organizations, as PLNU led all region schools in All-West Region honorees.
 
Moore and Silva were unanimous First Team selections to the NCBWA All-West Region First Team and were joined by Norton on the NCBWA and D2CCA All-West Region First Team.
 
Rodriguez was selected to both the NCBWA and D2CCA All-West Region Second Team.
   
Moore is batting .388 this season with 23 doubles, 17 home runs and 74 RBIs. He ranks sixth in NCAA Division II in doubles, 13th in total bases, 18th in runs scored (73) and 20th in RBIs. He leads the West Region in doubles, total bases and runs scored, while ranking second in RBIs.
 
Silva, the PacWest Pitcher of the Year, is 10-1 this season with a 3.53 ERA. He has struck out 90 batters in 81.2 innings pitched, ranking 12th nationally in wins and 21st in NCAA Division II in strikeouts.
 
Norton (9-2 record), the PacWest Championships Most Outstanding Pitcher, leads the West Region and is ninth in the country with a 2.20 ERA. He has limited opponents to a .202 batting average in his 69.2 innings of work, while pacing all West Region pitchers and ranking 14th nationally with a 1.06 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched).
 
Rodriguez is batting .423 this season, which ranks third in the West Region and 25th in NCAA Division II. His 91 hits on the year lead the region and are the 18th most in the nation, while just one shy of tying the single-season program record. He has added 13 doubles, seven home runs and 48 RBIs this season.
   
No. 2 seed Point Loma (47-11 overall) hosts No. 5 seed Northwest Nazarene in the NCAA Super Regionals Thursday through Saturday in Carroll B. Land Stadium with a spot in the NCAA Division II World Series on the line.
 
First pitch each day is scheduled for noon.
