(SAN DIEGO) The 2026 NCAA Division II West Regional baseball champion will be crowned this weekend in America's Most Scenic Ballpark.
No. 2 seed PLNU Baseball will host No. 5 seed Northwest Nazarene in the West Super Regional, Thursday through Saturday, to determine who will represent the West Region in Cary, N.C. at the NCAA Division II World Series.
Point Loma won the West Region championship in 2022 and 2024 before NNU claimed the regional crown in 2025.
PLNU claimed a PacWest record fourth conference championship in five seasons before also winning the PacWest Tournament title for the second time in three years.
The Sea Lions then hosted an NCAA West Regional site, defeating No. 3 seed Cal Poly Pomona in its opening game and then winning two out of three against No. 6 seed Cal State San Bernardino to advance to the Super Regionals for the third time in five years.
NNU won its third consecutive GNAC regular season and tournament titles this season before going 3-0 in the Monterey Regional to book its second consecutive trip to the Super Regionals.
The Nighthawks beat No. 4 seed Cal State San Marcos in their regional opener before taking down No. 1 seed Cal State Monterey Bay in consecutive games, scoring seven runs in the ninth inning to win 14-12 before trouncing the top-seeded Otters 17-0.
Point Loma (47-11 overall) and Northwest Nazarene (41-16) will play on Thursday and Friday at noon. An if-necessary game would be played on Saturday, also at noon, if the teams split the first two games of the Super Regional.
