On behalf of the
Sports Medicine Staff at Point Loma Nazarene University, we would like to welcome you and your team to our campus for the upcoming athletic event. This page was created to assist visiting teams prior to and during their stay on The Point. Our Athletic Trainers will be available to assist you during your visit to San Diego.
The following services will be provided to you during your upcoming athletic event and your stay. A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site for your event and a Team Physician will be present or on call.
Teams traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer will have complete access to
our facilities for any treatment needs. The Sports Medicine Clinic will be open approximately 2 hours before the competition event and will remain open approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the event.
The following modalities will be available within the Sports Medicine Clinic:
> Ice machine / Ice Bags
> Hydrocollator / Moist Heat Packs
> Cold & Warm Whirlpools
> Electrical Stimulation / Ultrasound / Game Ready
> Therapeutic Exercise Equipment

The following supplies/items will be provided on the sidelines of your event:
> Injury Treatment Ice / Ice Bags / Flexiwrap
> First Aid Supplies
> AED, Splints, Crutches, Spineboard, etc. (Home Bench)
> Treatment Table
> Water & Cups
> Single Use Towels (Indoor Court Events Only)

The Sports Medicine Staff politely asks that you contact us prior to your visit, so that we meet any specific needs that you may have. If a certified athletic trainer is NOT accompanying your team, please email us the taping and treatments your team will need in advance. A certified athletic trainer must sign all authorization forms. We also ask that you provide your own taping supplies. We will be happy to accommodate any particular needs if prior arrangements have been made.
