McEwen recorded seven saves on 31 shots faced, and only allowed one goal over two matches. McEwen played in all 192 minutes helping the Sea Lions improve to 4-1-0 on the season. The Sea Lions defeated crosstown foe UCSD 2-1 in double overtime, and CCAA rival Cal State San Marcos 1-0. In the Sea Lions' 2-1 win against UCSD, McEwen recorded four saves on a season high 20 shots faced. In the next match, McEwen recorded three saves on 11 shots faced, collecting his second shutout of the season.
