The Point Loma's Women's tennis team traveled to The Master's College on Thursday and came away with a dominating 9-0 sweep. The conference victory was completed without dropping a single set.
"I'm proud of them,"PLNU Coach Rich Hills, who shuffled his lineup to allow some reserves court time, said. "It's great to get a GSAC win anytime, anyplace."
Doubles action saw the Sea Lions lose just two games total and head into singles with a 3-0 lead. From one to six: Ashley Litchfield, Jessica Kwan, Wileen Chiu, Samantha Mohr, Isabella Tumini and Brooke Foster each won their singles matches to complete the sweep.
This win puts NAIA No. 3-ranked Loma at 14-1 overall, 11-1 in conference while TMC slips to 2-10 in the GSAC and 2-12 overall. The Sea Lions have now won nine straight. The momentum of this match carries PLNU to Cal State Bakersfield for a non-conference match 2:00 pm Friday and to GSAC rivals Fresno Pacific on Saturday.
