SAN DIEGO - Jose Furman's goal in the 72nd minute proved to be the difference in a 1-0 win for Chaminade over Point Loma on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Furman got into a transition and after the ball deflected off a Sea Lions' defender. He found himself in a 1-v-1 against the goalie and converted on a shot that went from right side of the box into the left corner of the net.
This was the big blow to PLNU (2-9-0, 1-8-0 PacWest) which had played much of the second half on the Silverswords (2-7-1, 2-5-1 PacWest) side of the field. Point Loma outshot their visitors 9-3 in the second half but could not get a ball past Chaminade's goalie Conor Knox, who had six saves in the match.

The PLNU men's soccer team will now go on the road for six of their next seven matches. The first will be on Monday, Oct. 15 at San Diego State. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
