LAIE, Hawaii - The Point Loma volleyball team ran into No. 10 BYU-Hawaii and came up on the short side of a 25-15, 25-17 and 25-14 sweep on the road this Friday (Oct. 12).
This was the 11th straight win for the Seasiders. They are now 12-2 on the season and 7-0 in the PacWest. This is the first loss in three matches on the Hawaiian road trip for the Sea Lions. They moved to 7-10 on the season and 3-5 in conference.
Kelli LeClair continued her stellar road trip with a team-best 16 kills. She had just three errors in 44 chances for a .295 hitting percentage. She had recorded double-figure kills in all three matches on the trip.
Natalie Hamill added 25 assists.
BYU-Hawaii's biggest edge was in its offensive efficiency. The Seasiders hit .490 in the match with 55 kills and just eight errors. Lauren Hagemeyer led the way with a .636 hitting percentage as she had 16 kills and only two errors.
The Sea Lions will close out their road trip in Hawaii on Saturday with an 8:00 p.m., showdown against Hawaii Pacific.
