AZUSA, Calif.
- Azusa Pacific scored two second-half goals to earn a 2-0 win over the Point Loma men's soccer team in Pacific West Conference play on Tuesday (Oct. 23).

Tanner Akol broke a 0-0 tie in the 68th minute on a header off a cross from Michael Sahagian. Trenton Titus then tacked on the Cougars' second goal in the 76th minute.

The two goals broke up a very competitive match. Both teams had seven shots in the first half, with PLNU outshooting APU 4-3 in shots on goal. Daniel ten Bosch led the way for Point Loma with four shots (two shots on goal).

The second half would favor the Cougars on offense and defense. They did not allow PLNU a shot on goal while taking six of their own. Carter Phillips would end up with seven saves for Point Loma. Joe Geletko had four for Azusa Pacific.

The Point Loma men's team will now come home to host Grand Canyon on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 1:00 p.m. This will be the final home match of the season for the Sea Lions. They will hold a ceremony to honor their graduating seniors.
