NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -- NAIA sixth-ranked Point Loma Nazarene defeated The Master's 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Courts on the campus of Cal State Northridge.
The win boosts the Sea Lions to a 6-2 overall mark and 5-1 against Golden State Athletic Conference foes. The Mustangs fell to 2-9 overall, 2-6 GSAC.
Even though the team had new pairings on Saturday, PLNU cruised through the three doubles points.

The Sea Lions won five of the six singles points. Adair, Venugopal and Abayan on courts 1-3, each dropped just one game against their opponents. Mohr won 6-1, 6-2 on four with Keifer notching a 6-0, 6-0 win on five. The Master's lone point came in a three-setter on court six.
PLNU has a big upcoming week, hosting Lewis-Clark State on Monday (4 pm), Connecticut on Tuesday (4 pm) and Valparaiso on Thursday (2 pm).
