LOS ANGELES - Jessica Escorza and Callie Rhoads each scored double-figure points and Abby Boorman grabbed a season-best 10 rebounds for but a crucial 11-0 run by Cal State Dominguez Hill in the second half doomed the Point Loma women's basketball on the first day of the Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Cal State LA.

Escorza scored most of game-high 16 points at the free throw line as she was 12-of-14 from the charity stripe. She also added three steals and six rebounds in the loss for Point Loma (1-2).

Callie Rhoads added a season-best 15 points. Boorman had all 10 of her rebounds on the defensive glass and also had four blocks. Savannah Erskine added four assists and six steals from the point guard position.

Monay Lee and Tayler Champion each had double-doubles to pace the Toros (1-1) who outrebouned the Sea Lions by 13 in the contest (46-33).  Lee had 14 points and 12 rebounds, while earned her double-double with a 13-point, 13-rebound performance. Amver Wharton led CSUDH with 15 points.
