All games in the series will be available for Sea Lions fans to track through live stats courtesy of Dixie State at http://www.sidearmstats.com/dixie/baseball/scoreboard.aspx.

A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
After a slow start to the season, PLNU has played well recently, winning four of their last five games. The Sea Lions are now 5-6 on the season. Point Loma opened PacWest play at home against Hawaii Hilo on Feb. 15-16, and the Sea Lions won the series, taking three of four games.

The starting pitching has been the biggest reason for the Sea Lions turnaround. Seniors Justin Lawrence and Tyler Garkow each threw shutouts in the series against Hawaii Hilo. Garkow leads PLNU and ranks sixth in the PacWest with a 1.44 ERA. He has not allowed a run in his last 16 innings pitched. He is 3-0 on the season and is tied for the conference lead in wins.

Bryan Burkhead leads PLNU with 13 hits, two home runs, 22 total bases and a .579 slugging percentage. Mike Marcoux is pacing the squad with a .450 on-base percentage. Zach Allen leads the PacWest with nine stolen bases. He has also scored eight runs scores out of his leadoff spot.

As a team, PLNU leads the PacWest with 31 stolen bases and a .978 team fielding percentage. The Sea Lions rank fourth in the league in both team batting average (.277) and team ERA (4.65).

A LOOK AT DIXIE STATE:
The Red Storm is 7-1 on the season. This will be the opening PacWest series for DSC. Dixie State leads the PacWest with a .348 team batting average. Yuto Kata leads the Red Storm with a .435 batting average, six walks and a .552 on-base percentage. Kris Kaplan paces the squad with 16 total bases and a .615 slugging percentage. Sam Friend is DSC's top pitcher with a 2-0 record, a 0.75 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 12 innings.

NEXT UP:
Following the trip to Dixie State the Sea Lions will head to Phoenix to face Grand Canyon in a four-game series, Mar. 7-9.
