A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
Point Loma is coming off its second PacWest series win of the season as it took three of four games from Azusa Pacific at Carroll B. Land Stadium. The Sea Lions are now 11-12 on the season and are in fifth place in the PacWest standings with a 9-7 record. Tyler Nordgren (.391), Mike Marcoux (.328), Lucas DiCiccio (.319) and Trey Hunt (.313) are all hitting over .300 for the Sea Lions. Zach Allen leads the squad and the PacWest with 10 stolen bases. He is also the team-leader with 16 runs batted in and four sacrifices. He is also tied with Clinton Harwick for the team-lead with 15 runs scored. As a team, PLNU leads the PacWest with a .972 team fielding percentage and 42 stolen bases.

Senior pitcher Tyler Garkow is ranked amongst the PacWest leaders in multiple categories. He is tied for the league lead with four wins and three complete games. He is also ranked ninth with a 2.57 earned run average and second with 49 innings pitched. Fellow senior pitcher Justin Lawrence is second in the PacWest with 37 strikeouts and tied with Garkow for the league-lead in complete games. Opponents are hitting just .210 off him (fourth in PacWest). Garret Levsen is tied for second in the PacWest in saves with three.

A LOOK AT BETHESADA:
PLNU and Bethesda matched up earlier this season, and the Sea Lions earned a 9-1 win behind Tyler Garkow and three relievers. Garkow (3-0) faced the minimum over his four innings of work. He allowed just one single, which he wiped away with a ground ball double play. He then walked the leadoff batter in the fourth but picked him off first base to stay at the minimum.

Garkow then gave way to Mickey Dunleavy who pitched the next three innings, allowing just one run and one hit, while striking out three. Sam Sadler and Garret Levsen each added perfect innings of relief, with two strikeouts apiece, to seal the win. The pitchers were staked to a 3-0 lead after the first innings as the Sea Lions rallied with two out. After Joseph Keller doubled and Bryan Burkhead walked Trey Hunt singled up the middle to plate Keller, then Kyle Desimone doubled off the left field wall to clear the bases.

A LOOK AT CAL STATE SAN MARCOS:
The Cougars are 19-2 on the season and have won their last four games, and 10 of their last 11. Tyler Bernard is leading the team with a .403 batting average, 22 runs scored and 41 total bases. He has a .494 on-base percentage this season. Kenny Belzer is hitting .361 and leads the squad with 24 RBI. Kevin Hilton is 4-0 and leads the team with a 0.82 earned run average over 22 innings pitched. James Dykstra is 6-0 on the season and has 53 strike outs in 47 innings to go along with a 1.15 ERA.
