A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
Last week, the PLNU baseball team got back to .500 (12-12) with a 4-1 win over Bethesda on Wednesday. This was also its fourth straight victory. However, PLNU's winning streak was snapped by Cal State San Marcos last weekend as the Cougars took all three games of the series. The Sea Lions are now 12-15 on the season and remain in fifth place in the PacWest standings with a 9-7 record.

Tyler Nordgren went 4-for-10 over the week to raise his team-leading batting average to .394. He is also pacing the Sea Lions with a .500 on-base percentage. Mike Marcoux (.329), Andy Littlefield (.320) Lucas DiCiccio (.319) and Trey Hunt (.309) are all hitting over .300 for the Sea Lions. Zach Allen leads the squad and is tied atop the PacWest with 10 stolen bases. He is also the team-leader with 17 runs batted in and five sacrifices. Clinton Harwick leads PLNU with 17 runs scored, and Bryan Burkhead paces the team with 39 total bases. As a team, PLNU leads the PacWest with 46 stolen bases, and is second with a.972 fielding percentage.

Senior pitcher Tyler Garkow leads the PacWest in innings pitched (56.0), games started (eight) and complete games (three). Justin Lawrence is second in the PacWest in both total strikeouts (45) and strikeouts per nine innings (9.0). Opponents are hitting just .222 off him (eighth in PacWest). Garret Levsen is tied for second in the league with four saves.

SCOUTING HAWAII PACIFIC:
The Sea Warriors come into the weekend on a seven-game losing streak. They are now 17-11 on the season and 8-8 in the PacWest. Russell Doi leads five HPU student-athletes hitting over .300 with a .393 batting average. Marvin Campbell has knocked in a team-leading 30 runs on squad that averages seven runs a game. Campbell also leads the team with 28 runs scored, four home runs and 60 total bases. Michael Murray leads HPU starters with a 3.24 ERA and 37 strikeouts.
