PLNU PAIR MAKES HISTORY:
On Friday, Apr. 12th Sam Sadler and Garret Levsen teamed up to throw the first combined no-hitter in Sea Lions history as PLNU won 2-0. Sadler worked the first 6.2 innings against Fresno Pacific, allowing five walks while striking out four. He would end up loading the bases in the top of the seventh and PLNU head coach Joe Schaefer then turned to Levsen out of his bullpen to record the final out of the game which he did on a pop up to the shortstop. This was the first no-hitter for PLNU since Kenny Houser against Vanguard in 2008.

A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
PLNU is coming off its best series of the season as it swept Fresno Pacific to earn its first-ever four-game sweep of a PacWest opponent. The Sea Lions outscored the Sunbirds 17-7 in the series. The sweep kept Point Loma's postseason hopes alive as they battle to finish the season at or above .500. The Sea Lions are currently 21-20 on the season on 17-11 in the PacWest.

Tyler Garkow leads four Sea Lions with ERAs below 3.00. He is fifth in the league with a 2.39 earned run average and tied for fourth with six wins. He leads the PacWest with 79 innings pitched and four complete games. He is also tied for fourth in strikeouts (50) and is ninth in opponent batting average (.240). Sam Sadler, who moved into the starting rotation four starts ago, has lowered his ERA to 2.73 on the season. Relievers Garret Levsen and Brett Carlile own the best two ERAs for the Sea Lions at 1.40 and 2.21, respectively. The backend duo for the Sea Lions has not allowed an earned run over their last 12.2 innings pitched. Levsen picked up three saves in the four-game set (Carlile had the other) as he took over the lead in the PacWest with eight saves on the season.

Tyler Nordgren continues to leads Point Loma in hitting with a .360 batting average. He is also pacing the club with a .448 on-base percentage. Mike Marcoux (.319), Trey Hunt (.310) and Zach Allen (.305) are all hitting over .300 for PLNU. Bryan Burkhead put together a great series against Fresno Pacific to take over the team-lead with 25 runs scored. He continues to pace the team in home runs after hitting three during Saturday's doubleheader with the Sunbirds. He is also second on the team with 18 runs driven in.
