SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma men's tennis team won doubles and at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions, but it was not enough to get the win against Bucknell as the Sea Lions fell 5-4 on Monday, Mar. 13.
 
PLNU opened the match with CJ Erion and Jesse Miritello defending court 1 with an 8-2 victory. Brendon Millingotn and Yuki Okamoto banked another point for the Sea Lions with an 8-4 win at No. 2s.
 
In singles, Bucknell won three two-set matches and Millington swept his opponent at No. 1 singles to bring the match to 4-3 in favor of the Bison. Erion tied the match at 4-4 with a 4-6, 7-5 and 6-3 win at court 2, bring everything down to court 3.
 
Jack Alston dropped the first set, but bounced back to win the second 6-4 and force a decisive third. Both parties battled but in the end it was Bucknell that earned the 6-4 set win, and ultimately the match.
 
The Sea Lions will be off until Saturday, Mar. 18 when it hosts Tufts at 11 a.m.
