THE FACILITY
The meet will be held on the campus of Point Loma. This will be the first meet run on the newly resurfaced track which was installed over the Winter. There have also been recent upgrades to the viewing area with new seats, courtesy of Petco Park, being installed to the view area on the upper south side of the track. The new track replaced the all-weather track which was installed in January of 1984, preceding the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Many Olympic athletes and world class runners from around the world have taken advantage of San Diego's weather and Point Loma's setting to train on this track.
COACH ARVIN QUOTES
On the meet: "The goal of putting on a quality meet is one you have to take seriously. It is exciting that you are having a meet that other teams can attend and have a great experience at. Many of their best marks of the year will come at this meet because of the weather, the track and everything about this place."
On the PLNU team/coaches: "Our ladies get to have home competition in a large and quality meet. We are excited to host it but always glad when the day is done."
