(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Track & Field had a trio of Sea Lions earn USTFCCCA All-West Region honors, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Maddie Reeves (10,000 meters, 5,000 meters),
Elizabeth Satterlee (3,000 meter steeplechase) and
Rowan Cebulski (high jump) received the recognition, marking the third straight season multiple Sea Lions have been in the top five in the West Region in their respective events.
Reeves earns All-Region recognition in the 10,000 meters for the second straight season, while also adding her first All-Region honor in the 5,000 meters.
Both Satterlee and Cebulski are All-Region competitors for the first time in their events.
Reeves ranks fourth in NCAA Division II this season in the 10,000 meters and is also 21st nationally in the 5,000 meters. She will compete in both events, which she holds program records in, at the NCAA Championships (May 21-23) in Emporia, Kansas.
Satterlee won the PacWest championship in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:52.63. Her best time of the season was 10:50.06 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, which ranks her third in the event in program history.
Cebulski earned All-PacWest honors in the high jump, placing third at the PacWest Championships. That came after she set a new personal record in the high jump (1.66 meters) when competing in the conference heptathlon, on her way to a third-place finish in the event at the PacWest Championships.
Reeves will run in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships on May 21 at 8:50 p.m. CT / 6:50 p.m. PT before competing in the 5,000 meters on May 23 at 6:55 p.m. CT / 4:55 p.m. PT.
