SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma baseball team moved up seven spots to No. 17 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) national poll, which was released earlier this week.
 
The Sea Lions are 9-5 on the season, and are coming off a non-conference series victory over Concordia. The No. 17 ranking is the best in school history at the NCAA Division II level. It tops the 20th place ranking the Sea Lions earned during the 2016-17 season. To see the complete NCBWA national poll, click here.
 
Point Loma is preparing to open PacWest play this weekend at Academy of Art. The teams will play doubleheaders on both Friday, Mar. 1 and on Saturday, Mar. 2. Both doubleheaders will begin at Noon.
