SAN DIEGO - After further discussions with the PacWest Conference, Point Loma Nazarene University has decided to suspend all athletic competitions at least through the end of March, effective immediately.
 
The decision was reached by the conference with the health and safety of the student-athletes, game day workers, athletic staffs and community in mind. The PacWest will continue to monitor and assess the situation and provide updates as they are made available. PacWest Statement

The Division II Administrative Committee granted an additional season of eligibility to student-athletes in spring sports, and waived sports sponsorship requirements for schools canceling spring seasons. Division II Administrative Decisions
 
The PacWest's decision mirrors decisions made by the rest of the NCAA Division II West Region conferences (GNAC, CCAA) following the announcement earlier in the day by NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors. NCAA Statement
