LEARFIELD DIRECTORS' CUP STANDINGS
(SAN DIEGO) A historic year for Point Loma resulted in the Sea Lions' best ever finish in the 2025-26 Division II Learfield Directors' Cup standings, as announced the National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors.
PLNU placed 24th in NCAA Division II, out of 251 schools, with points awarded for postseason performance at NCAA Championships.

Point Loma set a program record by having all 11 of its teams represented in the NCAA postseason this year.
That included PLNU Volleyball (semifinals) and Men's Soccer (quarterfinals) making their deepest postseason runs in program history.
Baseball won the West Region and reached the NCAA Division II World Series, while Men's Basketball and Women's Tennis both advanced to the Round of 16 in their respective sports.
Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Women's Golf, Men's Tennis and Women's Track & Field also earned points for the Sea Lions by virtue of their participation in the NCAA postseason.
Annika Yturralde posted PLNU's best ever individual finish (T-31st) at the NCAA DII Golf Championships.
Maddie Reeves (10,000 meters) then became the first PLNU Women's Track & Field Division II All-American in program history with an eighth-place finish at the national meet.
Point Loma finished second overall among West Region schools in the Directors' Cup standings behind Western Washington (13th).
PLNU was the highest finisher among PacWest schools after previously winning the PacWest Bob Hogue Commissioner's Cup for the second straight year.
