This week
The four-game series between Concordia and Point Loma will begin this Friday, April 9. The first pitch for Friday's doubleheader at Concordia is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader, which will be played at Point Loma, is scheduled for first pitch at noon.

Due to recent changes in state guidelines, a limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend outdoor sporting events. Unfortunately, you will only be able to attend your home school's event thus, no Point Loma fans will be granted entry to Friday's game in Irvine, Calif. Also, no Concordia fans will be granted entry into Carroll B. Land Stadium on Saturday.

A look at the Sea Lions
This weekend marks the second time PLNU and Concordia will play a four-game series this year. The Sea Lions and Eagles split their first series with Point Loma taking games one and three and Concordia taking games two and four.
Baxter Halligan, once again, had a great weekend at the plate going 5-for-13 (.385) and currently fifth among all PacWest hitters with a .404 batting average. After going hitless the previous weekend
Otto Kemp recorded a hit in every game against nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific, including two multi-hit games. The Sea Lions currently have five players hitting .290 or better,

Coming off a one-run complete-game pitching performance
Dylan Miller lowered his ERA to 1.64 and moved to 3-0 in the 2021 season. In 22 innings pitched Miller has struck out 26 batters and is allowing an opponent batting average of .195. Miller currently ranks fifth in the PacWest in ERA,
Nathan Garkow is just behind him ranking eighth with a 2.74 ERA.  Â
A look at the Concordia Eagles
The Eagles come into this weekend after splitting their series against Biola last weekend. Concordia enters the series 5-7 both overall and in PacWest play.
Xavier Gonzalez leads the Eagles lineup with a .326 batting average including three doubles and seven runs batted in. Cooper Moore is a tick behind Gonzalez hitting .325 with two doubles, four home runs, and 18 runs batted in. Nathan Benefeito is coming off a 7-for-14 (.500) weekend with five RBIs and three runs, garnering him PacWest Freshman of the Week.
Evan Larsen currently paces all Eagle starting pitchers with a 3.38 ERA in three starts. Point Loma will look to jump on Concordia early with three of the Eagles four starters with an above 4.00 ERA. Carpenter Pagett has a 4.15 ERA, Cole Spear enters with an 8.25 ERA, and Brett Vansant enters with an 8.59 ERA.
