PLNU Athletics is beginning a lookback at the top moments for the Sea Lions during the very unique 2020-21 year. Follow along over the next two weeks as we reveal our top 10 moments for the past year. No. 10 will be announced later today with a new spot revealed each day until we reach our No. 1 moment.
Moment #10:Â The 2020-21 academic year was anything but traditional, so that is why it was so great to see the return to 'normal' throughout the winter and spring. It began with the men's and women's basketball teams hosting Northwest Nazarene on January 15 in the first intercollegiate contests for any Sea Lion team in over 300 days (PLNU won both). Over the next two months, eight other PLNU teams returned to play, both hosting and traveling on the road. The next step in the process came when fans were allowed back into the venues to watch. Baseball welcomed back Sea Lion fans in early April and the volleyball team was able to close out their season in front of friends and family on Apr. 21. With these steps and the continued lifting of restrictions in California, PLNU Athletics is hoping and anticipating everything returns to 'normal' for fall 2021.Â
