GOODYEAR, Ariz.
- Raquel Prado came back from 14 places down and seven strokes behind to win the individual title at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella with a 1-under 143. (Sept. 29)

The sophomore from Seville, Spain posted an incredible second-round score of 68 (-4) to shoot up the leaderboard. But even with her impressive performance during Tuesday's round, Prado found herself tied with two others for the top spot after 36 holes.

Prado, Breann Horn of Cal State San Marcos, and Drishti Karumbaya of Cal State East Bay, each registered 143's (-1) and they all headed back to the course to determine the individual winner with a playoff. Prado and Karumbaya each parred the first hole and Horn was unable to match them, leaving the title to be decided between the two of them.

The golfers went back and forth for six more holes until the winner was ultimately decided. On the fifth hole, it looked like Karumbaya would end up with the title after a tough bounce for Prado on her drive. But she was able to save par with two great back-to-back shots to keep her chances alive.

Prado's opportunity for victory came on the seventh hole after Karumbaya had a poor tee shot that caused her to take a drop, and she did not let it slip by. Prado made a solid drive down the center of the fairway and played the hole for a par to close out the win and take home her first career individual title.

The 68 (-4) shot by Prado matches the second-lowest round in PLNU history. She is the seventh Sea Lion golfer to win an individual title in the program's 11-year history.

As a team, PLNU finished eighth with a 623 (+47). Cal State San Marcos took home the team title, winning the tournament by six strokes with a 598 (+22).
