AZUSA, Calif.-Despite a crowded field with the most entries of any meet they participated in this season, the Point Loma Sea Lions delivered more than a handful of season and personal bests at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday.
Anessa Chirgwin's 45.42-meter discus landed in 5
th place. The top three finishers were all over 50 meters in the deepest field the Sea Lions have competed in this year.
Makenna Sullivan led a pair of Sea Lions in a crowded field in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.43, her best time of the year.
Nica Zsiros was five places behind her with a 17.24.
Madelynn Worley's was the lone Sea Lion to rep PLNU in the 400-meter dash but did so with a season-best 57.41 on Saturday.
Similarly,
Blanca Granados was the lone PLNU runner in the 100-meter dash, finishing in the middle of the pack at 12.28, delivering her season-best time in the event.

Point Loma's 400-meter relay finished in 15
th place with a time of 48.40, improving on their time by two hundredths from a week ago for their best finish of the season.
Point Loma will now focus their training for the PacWest Championships held on the PLNU Track on April 29
th and 30
th.
