(SAN DIEGO) For the ninth-straight year, PLNU Baseball earned the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Point Loma has received the honor in every year of its existence, dating back to 2016.
The award recognizes teams coached by ABCA members that recorded above a 3.0 GPA for the academic year.
PLNU accumulated a 3.53 GPA in the 2023-24 academic year, with 28 Sea Lions receiving Academic All-PacWest recognition.

Scott Anderson was named the PacWest Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a CSC First Team Academic All-America® honoree.
Point Loma's academic success adds to what was another stellar year on the diamond, as the Sea Lions reached the NCAA Division II World Series for the second time in three years after winning the West Region championship once again.
PLNU also claimed a third-straight PacWest Conference regular season crown and a first-ever PacWest Tournament title, finishing the season with a 46-13-1 overall record.
