(ATHERTON, Calif.) No. 5 PLNU Volleyball won its second straight match on its Northern California road trip, defeating Menlo in four sets (25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-) on Saturday afternoon.
Point Loma scored the first four points of the match, as PLNU won the first set by that same margin.
Menlo then battled back to even the match by winning the second set, only for the Sea Lions to respond by taking sets three and four.
PLNU dominated in the fourth and final stanza, ending the match on a 9-0 run for its largest margin of victory in any set this season.
The Sea Lions hit .432 in that fourth set compared to .000 for the Oaks.
Abigail Nua and Saren Rogers led all players with 16 kills, while Jill Leslie added 13.
Sophia Baugh tallied 48 assists and three service aces, while defensively Macy Reynolds had 22 digs and Kira Federico 11.
Point Loma (13-1 overall, 3-0 PacWest) concludes its road trip on Monday at Fresno Pacific at 5 p.m.
