After winning its first ever Bob Hogue Commissioner's Cup for athletic success across all sports, PLNU has once again claimed the PacWest Academic Achievement Award.

Point Loma accumulated a 3.52 GPA in the 2024-25 academic year, tying with Dominican for the top GPA among conference athletic departments.

PLNU has now won the PacWest Academic Achievement Award in each of the past three years and four times overall.

The Sea Lions' four conference academic awards are the second most in PacWest history since the recognition began in 2008.

Point Loma's women's sports teams had the highest female sports GPA collectively of any conference school at 3.63.

PLNU Men's Tennis had the highest GPA (3.86) of any men's sports team in the PacWest, while PLNU Women's Tennis had the top GPA (3.77) of any women's sports squad in the conference.

PLNU Women's Track & Field had the best GPA (3.68) of any other conference women's track & field squad.

Point Loma also set a new school record with 195 Academic All-PacWest selections. That marks the fifth straight year the Sea Lions have broken their previous school record, surpassing last year's previous best total of 184.

Sixteen PLNU student-athletes have perfect 4.0 GPAs in their undergraduate or graduate programs.

Six Sea Lions received CSC Academic All-America® recognition this year, while four earned PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards in their respective sports.

Point Loma has now finished in the top two of the PacWest Academic Achievement Award standings in each of the past eight years.
