PLNU SEA LION INVITE - RESULTS

(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Track & Field competed at a pair of local meets over the weekend, including its PLNU Sea Lion Invite on Saturday, as Point Loma continued to impress early in the 2026 season.
 
At the Aztec Coastal Classic on Friday, Maddie Reeves finished third in the 5,000 meters (16:53.53).
 
Elizabeth Satterlee ran a personal best 11:07.33 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing sixth and remaining third all-time in program history in the event, while Jocelyn Gibson closed in on PLNU's Top-10 List in the 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 17:49.47.
   
Then at Saturday's PLNU Sea Lion Invite, Point Loma posted a pair of runner-up finishes, with Reeves running 4:36.54 in the 1500 meters and Zaila Smith crossing the 5,000-meter line in 18:04.17.
 
The 4x400 meter team of LillyAnn Brewer, Reagan Cole, Angelica Gomes and Helena Simms placed third (3:57.00), while Cole (1:02.90) and Brewer (1:02.98) finished third and fourth respectively in the 400-meter hurdles.
   
That came after Cole placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.52 seconds, jumping up to fourth among Sea Lions all-time in the event from eighth place.
 
Satterlee finished a couple spots behind Reeves in the 1500 meters, finishing fourth in a time of 4:45.93.
   
Skyler Cazale remains sixth all-time in PLNU history with a personal-best triple jump of 11.38 meters, which earned her fifth place in the meet.
   
Aubrey Montoya (12.24 seconds) and Katherine Heekin (12.36 seconds) placed eighth and ninth in the 100 meters, as both ran personal-best times, with Montoya moving up to No. 8 all-time in program history in the event.
   
Point Loma will compete next March 27 at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival, hosted by UCLA, as well as the Vince O'Boyle Invite, hosted by UC Irvine, March 27-28.
