RESULTS
(LONG BEACH, Calif.) A pair of PLNU Women's Track & Field runners placed first in individual events at the Beach Opener over the weekend, as Point Loma continued its strong start to the spring season.
Reagan Cole (400-meter hurdles) and
Jocelyn Gibson (3,000 meters) both won individual events.
Cole crossed the finish line in 62.00 seconds exactly, moving up to seventh place all-time in the 400-meter hurdles in program history.
Gibson finished the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:24.82 to claim first place.
Elizabeth Satterlee finished as runner-up in the 1500 meters (4:42.83), with
Lia-Luisa Markert (4:53.77) not far behind in fourth place, as both ran personal-best times.
LillyAnn Brewer ran 65.08 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles to place fourth, a few spots behind Cole.
Rowan Cebulski also finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.56 meters.
A pair of PLNU relay teams also placed fourth in the 4x100 (
Madison Simmers,
Aubrey Montoya,
Grace Park, Cole) and 4x400 meters (
Michelle Ramos,
Mia Rodriguez,
Mikayla Horning,
Melanie Ramos).
Point Loma now returns to San Diego for a pair of local meets this week, with the Aztec Coastal T&F Classic hosted by San Diego State on Friday and the PLNU Sea Lion Invite Friday-Saturday.
