LEADERBOARD
(NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev.) PLNU Women's Golf is in fourth place after the first round of the PacWest Championships, being played at Aliante GC in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
Annika Yturralde led the Sea Lions with a three-over 75, highlighted by a 35-foot eagle putt on the par-five eighth. She recorded the lone eagle by any player, helping her close out the opening round in 12th place on the individual leaderboard.
Allie Nguyen ranked second on the day with 15 pars in the first round, as she is currently in 16th place after her five-over 77.
Giana Gunasayan (78) and
Bella Gunasayan (81) are in 18th and 25th place respectively.
PLNU's 56 total pars on the day ranked second among all teams in the first round, but its three birdies were the fewest, with none of those three coming after hole five.
Point Loma is 16 shots behind first-placed Westmont, 14 behind second-placed Hawai'i Hilo and 12 back of third-placed Dominican.
The Sea Lions will tee off in the second round on Tuesday at 7:50 a.m.
