Annika Yturralde posted the best ever finish by a PLNU Women's Golfer at the NCAA Championships, surging up the leaderboard on the final day to finish tied for 31st.
Yturralde carded three birdies in Thursday's third and final round of the tournament on her way to a one-over 73.
One of those birdies came on her final hole of the day, the par-four ninth, as she moved up 23 spots on the leaderboard to finish in the top third in the field that had 93 players play all three rounds.
Yturralde, the second player in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships, saved her best round for last after shooting a 78 in the first round and a 79 in the second.
She was even-par through 10 holes in round one after a birdie on the par-five 10th before becoming one of only two players to card an eagle across the first two rounds.
She chipped in for eagle on the par-five sixth on day two, as she finished as one of only five players in the entire tournament to record an eagle.
Yturralde qualified for the NCAA Championships after being one of the top two individuals from the NCAA West Regional on a non-qualifying team. She placed third out of 98 players at the regional, which is the best regional finish in PLNU history.
