REEVES BREAKS HER OWN PROGRAM RECORD YET AGAIN

4/6/2026 6:43:00 PM

Maddie Reeves broke her third different program record this season, and second in as many meets, highlighting another successful weekend for PLNU Women's Track & Field.

Reeves shattered her own Point Loma 10K record, crossing the finish line at the Stanford Invitational in 33:52.01 to finish 14th out of 31 primarily NCAA Division I athletes.

That mark beat her own previous program best time by 36 seconds, which she set in her first career 10K at last year's Stanford Invitational.

She is currently No. 4 on the NCAA Division II performance list in the event this track season, while also No. 6 in NCAA DII this year in the 5,000 meters (16:36.30), another event she holds a program record in.

Elizabeth Satterlee ran 10:50.06 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the San Francisco State Mike Fanelli Classic, moving up to third place all-time in program history in the event. She also ranks 15th in NCAA DII this season.

At the UCSD Triton Invite, Skyler Cazale improved her sixth-ranked mark in PLNU triple jump history, leaping 11.56 meters to place eighth out of 27 competitors in the event.

Kate Shintaffer also finished eighth (out of 28) in the javelin with a personal best throw of 39.73 meters, which is just outside the program's top-10 list.

Along with Reeves and Satterlee, Danielle Gould Leu also holds an NCAA DII provisional mark, ranking 23rd in the pole vault (3.80 meters).

Point Loma will compete next at the SDSU Aztec Invite & Multis Meet on Thursday and Friday.
