(IRVINE, Calif.) PLNU Women's Track & Field competed in Irvine at the Steve Scott Invite over the weekend in the team's first of three last chance meets ahead of the NCAA Championships.

Katherine Heekin ran 12.15 seconds in the 100 meters to move up to No. 7 all-time in program history in the event.

Maddie Reeves won the 5,000 meters in a time of 16:48, an event she currently ranks 20th in NCAA Division II, while
Michelle Ramos won her heat and matched her personal best in the 800 meters (2:14.7).

Two other Sea Lions also ran new personal best times in the 1500 meters in
Lia-Luisa Markert (4:50.3) and
Jocelyn Gibson (4:42.2).

Point Loma will compete at the Franson Last Chance and the Cal State LA Very Last Chance Meet this weekend in final attempts to qualify individuals for the NCAA Championships (May 21-23).
