SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Williams on Monday, Mar. 18.
The loss puts PLNU at 6-10 on the season while Williams improved to 4-1.
The Sea Lions earned points at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, along with No. 2 doubles.
Sharon Reibstein picked up a straight set victory over Nancy Worley at No. 4 singles, 6-3 and 7-6. Reibstein has now won eight of her last nine singles matches. Reibstein then paired with
Maika Adair at No. 2 doubles to win 8-5.
Hope Penner also picked up a straight set victory in singles as she ousted Rebecca Curran, 7-6 and 6-1 at No. 2s.
The Sea Lions' next match will be Thursday, Mar. 21 at home against Amherst beginning at 2:30 p.m.
