SAN DIEGO -
Kaptan Kaster helped the Point Loma men's tennis team pick up two points in their match against No. 19 Amherst (NCAA Division III), however those would be the only two points the Sea Lions would get as they fell 7-2 on Thursday, Mar. 21.
The loss puts the Sea Lions at 5-10 on the season while Amherst improved to 8-4 with the win.
Kaster teamed with
Daniel Milliken at No. 3 doubles to oust Amherst's duo of Carlos de Bracamonte and Fife 8-6 to start the match. This was the only doubles victory for PLNU as it went into singles trailing 2-1.
Kaster then moved on to court No. 6 and won a straight set victory over de Bracamonte 7-5 and 6-3. The rest of the Sea Lions then fell in straight sets as Amherst picked up the win.
The Sea Lions will be off until Monday, Mar. 25 when they take on McPherson at 2:30 p.m.
