LA JOLLA, Calif. - The Point Loma women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to cross-town rival and No. 18 ranked UC San Diego on Wednesday, Apr. 10.

The win moves the Tritons to 12-6 on the season and drops the Sea Lions to 8-14.

Maika Adair picked up the only point for PLNU on the afternoon as she defeated Melissa Breisacher at No. 1 singles. Adair needed just two sets to earn the 6-3 and 6-4 victory. The win helped Adair avenge a loss earlier in the season to Breisacher.

The Sea Lions last match of the regular season will be next Monday when it hosts Vanguard at 2:00 p.m. PLNU will then head to the PacWest Championships on Thursday, Apr. 18.
