WAIPIO, Hawaii - The Point Loma women's tennis team dropped into the seventh place match of the Pacific West Conference Championships with a 5-0 loss to Academy of Art on Friday, Apr. 19.
The win moved Academy of Art to 19-7 on the season as PLNU dropped to 9-15.
All three doubles matches went to the Urban Knights. The Sea Lions were closest at No. 3 where
Wileen Chiu and
Kiersten Steinhauer were edged by Jenny Johansson and Lucia Zavarcikova 8-6.
AAU's final two points for the win came at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. It won both matches in straight sets.
PLNU will now take on Dominican in the seventh place match starting on Saturday (Apr. 20) at 1:30 p.m.
