Point Loma is now 21-24 on the season and 12-16 in the Pacific West Conference. Dixie State sits atop the league standings with a 23-5 mark (32-14 overall). The victory in the second game secured the Red Storm the PacWest title as they lead three teams in the standings by five games with just four remaining.

Game 1
Tyler Nordgren, Kyle Desimone and Tyler Hanzawa each collected two hits to support Cole Chandler in his first career start but Dixie State rallied for four runs in the top of the eight to spoil the opener for Point Loma 6-4.

PLNU held a 4-2 lead entering the eight, thanks to a three-run first inning and an RBI single by Desimone in the seventh, but in the inning Dixie State got a bases clearing double from Kevin Kline who eventually came around to score on a wild pitch to turn the Sea Lions' two-run lead into a two-run deficit.

Kline finished the game 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored.

Kevin Dorantes (4-1) earned the win for DSC after throw 2.1 innings in relief. Evan Parker also earned his league-leading 12th save of the season with a scoreless ninth. Mickey Dunleavy (2-2) took the loss.
