ALLI KIM WINS THE 2019 SONOMA STATE FALL CLASSIC!

ROHNERT PARK, Calif.
- Alli Kim returned to the winner's circle for the first time during the 2019-20 season with a one-stroke victory at the Sonoma State Fall Invite. The Sea Lions placed fifth.
 
Kim shot 73's (+1) in both rounds to win her the individual title. This is Kim's fifth career tournament title in 13 tournaments as a member of the Sea Lions. Kim paced the tournament with five birdies, and she was even four the whole tournament on the par-3's and par-4's. Kim won the tournament by one stroke over Cristina Picariello of Sonoma State. The two players were tied for second heading into the day with three other players.
 
Christine Perez climbed up 11 places from Monday to Tuesday and finished tied for ninth with a 152 (+8). She was just 2-over in par-4's, and she tied for sixth at the tournament with 13 pars. Tabetha Kang moved up seven spots on Tuesday to finish tied for 31st place with a 157 (+13). Summer Marshall completed the scoring for PLNU with a 163 (+19).
 
Sonoma State won the team title with a 598 (+22). Sonoma State won the team title with a 598 (+22). PLNU placed fifth, one stroke behind Holy Names, with a 618 (+42).

The Sea Lions will travel to Carlsbad, Calif., to play in the DII West Region Preview, hosted by Cal State San Marcos, on Oct. 21-22. The tournament will be held at The Club at La Costa.
